  • On-site
    • Vienna, Wien, Austria

Job description

Senior Airsoft Product Engineer at Novritsch: Build the Gear the World Plays With

Novritsch is the world's leading direct-to-consumer airsoft brand, built by players, for players. From our HQ in Vienna, we develop innovative products, manufacture with long-term partners in Asia, and ship to customers in 80+ countries. With a team of 50+ experts managing everything in-house, we move fast, take ownership, and build products we're proud of.

We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer who can take an idea from sketch to a finished product on a store shelf. You'll own the technical side of new airsoft hardware, from early concept and prototyping through design-for-manufacturing and mass production in China. If you know how a gearbox actually works, how to design a part so it survives a production line instead of dying in QC, and how to work with a factory instead of just emailing them, this is your role.

What You'll Do

  • Design new airsoft products from concept through to mass production, owning the technical outcome end to end

  • Apply design-for-manufacturing principles so products are reliable, cost-efficient, and easy to produce at scale

  • Work directly with our manufacturing partners in China on tooling, prototyping, and production issues

  • Solve the real problems: tolerances, material choice, durability, cost per unit, and how to hit deadlines without cutting corners

  • Test products yourself and bring a player's understanding of performance into every design decision

  • Work closely with Product, Operations, and Marketing in Vienna to make sure what you build actually ships

Who You Are

  • Deep hands-on experience developing airsoft or similar mechanical consumer products, from prototype to mass production

  • Strong understanding of design-for-manufacturing and what it takes to produce reliably in China

  • Comfortable owning a product technically without needing a team to execute through

  • The type who solves problems at the source instead of passing them along

  • Ideally an active airsoft player who understands what the community actually wants from their gear

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Real ownership: the products you design are the ones people play with worldwide

  • Work on hardware from first sketch to shipping container, not just one slice of it

  • A motivated, international team that moves fast and gets things done

  • Hybrid flexibility, flat hierarchies, short decision paths

  • Up to 50% product discount (max. €1,000/year)

  • Subsidized meals + access to Corporate Benefits

  • Well connected to Vienna's public transport network

  • Minimum salary per the collective agreement: €2,879 gross/month (38.5h, full-time).
Final salary is market-based, depending on your experience and qualifications.

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • 2+ years leading a team, and you're comfortable owning the outcome, not just the task

  • You make the call and stand behind it. Responsibility doesn't scare you, it motivates you

  • You move fast, communicate direct, but have the sensibility to lead a team

  • You're an active airsoft player who knows the fields, the gear, and what the community actually wants

  • English at C1 or higher. German is a plus, not a requirement

  • You bring your player perspective into every decision, because you're building gear you actually use on the field
